On stage, in the rehearsal room – and even in the best of homes – things can happen to a guitar. It tips over, someone accidentally kicks it, or the singer brushes their microphone across the top – guitars are sometimes exposed to a few hazards.
But even if nothing bad has happened, your instrument still needs regular care and maintenance. After all, you take care of companions along the way – because nothing should be taken for granted in the long run.

How to Send Your Guitar to Lakewood
Depending on your location and shipping options, we offer several convenient ways to send your guitar to us.
Your Guitar Isn’t a Lakewood?
No problem at all – we’re happy to take a look at any guitar!No matter the brand or the price – if a guitar isn’t properly set up, it just won’t play well.
On the flip side, with the right setup and adjustments, we can significantly improve the playability of any guitar model. So you’re welcome to book one of our service packages even if you don’t own a Lakewood.

As guitar builders, we can also carry out a wide range of repairs independently of the service packages. Examples include:
- Performing a neck reset
- Finish repairs (PU, acrylic, nitro, or shellac, e.g., on classical guitars)
- Optimizing string action / leveling frets
- Partial and full refretting
- Gluing cracks (drying cracks, fractures, etc.)
- Regluing loose braces on the top or back
- Repairing broken necks
- Adding decorative inlays (e.g., pearl inlays into fingerboards or tops)
- General overhaul and value assessment
- Installing all kinds of pickup systems

We are an accredited service partner in continental Europe for the American brands Taylor Guitars, Collings Guitars, and the British brand Atkin from London.As the official point of contact for all kinds of service and repair work, we also carry out almost all warranty repairs for these brands, especially finish repairs and neck adjustments (neck resets).
