The bright 'tinkly' sound. I probably would have chosen one with a brown rather than a white spruce top if there'd been one in the shop but I was all revved up, tried out a lot of other guitars at Oasis, and had to have 'my new Lakewood guitar' before leaving the shop. It plays beautifully. It's thanks to hearing Hans Pethig's playing that I decided on Lakewood.
